of the Association of Government Accountants!
AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.
Another exciting year for the Central Ohio AGA is underway. Our Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) is hard at work planning for the upcoming months. Central Ohio AGA is lucky to have such dedicated volunteers who continue to improve our program year after year.
Please remember we are always looking for new faces and ideas - consider volunteering throughout the year by participating in a sub-committee or accepting a future CEC role. This is your opportunity to have a voice in our educational and program events as well as promote the accounting profession. Feel free to contact a CEC member to express your interest in volunteering during the upcoming year.

Central Ohio AGA is Ohio’s premier association in advancing government accountability. If your target market includes chief financial officers, auditors, accountants and treasurers, then you need to be visible within our organization. The Sponsorship Program is an affordable way to support Central Ohio AGA’s strategic goals and attain recognition in the government finance community. Central Ohio AGA hopes to make it easy and efficient for you to maximize your marketing dollars.
Within our Corporate Sponsorship Packet you will find that sponsorships are available at several different levels. If you are interested in becoming a Corporate Sponsor or have any questions, please email our Sponsorship Chair, Carrie Simmons.
The Central Ohio AGA is excited to invite members and their families to join us for a fun day at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM located at 4850 West Powell Road, Powell, OH 43065.
The cost is Free for COAGA members and $10 per guest. Parking is Free for all registrants. Children under the age of 3 years old are Free. Registration includes a 1 Day Zoo Admission, Lunch (1:00 – 2:00), and a Souvenir Sipper. “Ride Bands” may be purchased ahead of time for an additional $5 per person.
Please RSVP as soon as possible (but no later than May 26th, 2017) to reserve your spot(s) – (space is limited). In your RSVP, please include how many child and adult guests you will be registering. If you are registering a child guest, please indicate if they are under 3 or between the ages of 3 and 9. Please also indicate the number of “Ride Bands” you would like as well. If there are any dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian) for any of your group members or yourself, please indicate so in your RSVP.

Once registered, payment is received, and as the event gets closer, tickets and ride bands will be mailed to you and any other details will be e-mailed to you.
Community Service Event: 4th Annual 5k for K9 Cancer Run/Walk
Run or walk (with or without your dog) on Otterbein University’s Cross Country Course. The event is held to educate and raise awareness for canine cancer and raise funds for The MedVet Charitable Foundation. Funds raised will support community outreach, veterinary education, fund clinical research and support the medical care of working dogs. AGA will pay the registration fee for ten members and guests.

2017 Central Ohio AGA Golf Outing
It is that time of year again to sign up for the Central Ohio AGA 2017 Golf Outing. We are hoping to make this outing the best one yet. The outing will be held at New Albany Links Golf Course on Friday, May 12. New Albany Links is located in New Albany and offers a challenging layout as one of Central Ohio’s most beautiful courses. The outing will once again be a four person scramble format. The registration fee will be $35 for AGA members and $60 for non-members. The Registration Fees will include green fees, cart, lunch, a great gift to participants, and prizes.
The Golf Outing will begin at 8:30 am, with registration at 8:00 am. Following the round of golf, we will wrap up the outing with prizes and an awards ceremony around 2:00pm.
So invite co-workers, family, friends and clients for a fun relaxing day of networking and golf. This is one of the first outings of the year to fine tune your game or just get out of the office to enjoy the spring weather. If you do not have a complete foursome, please sign up and we will do our best to pair you up with others.
